Veterinary Surgical Care

SurgeryYour pet's safety and comfort are our highest priority at Boston Street Animal Hospital. Whether your pet needs a routine spay or neuter procedure or requires a more complicated soft-tissue surgery, Dr. Greg Burbelo and staff at Boston Street Animal Hospital are ready to provide compassionate care using advanced veterinary surgical techniques.

Our hospital is capable of performing a variety of surgical procedures. Some complex surgical procedures may be referred to a trusted outside specialist.

It is our goal to make your pet comfortable and provide you with peace of mind. We encourage you to ask questions about your pet's surgery and welcome you to call and check on your pet following surgery.

Prior to surgery, your pet undergoes a full physical examination; we use this examination to develop an anesthesia protocol for your pet. During surgery, your pet's vital signs, including blood pressure, oxygen levels, and heart rate, are monitor using advanced monitoring equipment. A trained veterinary technician is on hand to monitor your pet's condition during surgery. All pets undergoing surgery are treated with multiple pain-management techniques.

Surgical procedures are a often a necessary component of your pet's health care plan. Dr. Burbelo and the Boston Street Animal Hospital Staff provide every pet in our hospital for surgery with kindness, compassion, and the highest-quality care.
